“Giving comfort to children, one quilt at a time.” Quilts, pillowcases, lap quilts, drawstring bags, hats and scarves are made and donated to several local service organizations like Akron Children’s Hospital, nursing homes, Children's Services, Ronald McDonald House, Ryan's Case for Smiles, and many more. People who can cut out, sew or tie the finished quilts, are needed and most welcome. Material donations accepted. Please call Joan for details.
We'll again be helping RYAN'S CASE FOR SMILES (caseforsmiles.org) provide pillowcases to Akron Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and other NE Ohio hospitals. The whimsical pillowcases not only give kids an emotional boost but serve as conversation starters for the kids. And they bring smiles to family members and hospital staff. Please bring your sewing machine or use one provided at church. Teens and adults, men and women, sewers and non-sewers are welcome and needed! Non-sewers will help with pressing, trimming, etc. Please plan to join other parishioners to HELP KIDS FEEL BETTER TO HEAL BETTER. Comfort Quilters will provide a light lunch and beverages.
